Thank you to the owners of this restaurant for their great food and service. ==================== ======= [Food] ======= The only time I came here was right before they closed. I've been coming here for years and out of all the Thai restaurants in the Fremont/Newark area this was my top choice. They just closed permanently and I'm very sad to see them go. Was lucky to have dined there on closing weekend (almost missed it!). Had choo chee salmon as my final meal. Cocurry is the one place that made me open to trying new things because of their consistency. Never left disappointed. I'm usually not an adventurous eater either. I tried new dishes like yen ta fo, khao soi, larb salad, and pad cha seafood. Over the years I've ordered from all over the menu. And if you ask for spicy they make it just right and bring you prik nam pla or prik bon on the side for extra kick. Always looked forward to a weekly trip here. They also seem to always have other Thai families dining there so that's a strong sign that this place was legit. I get the sense that the owners might be back next year at a new location nearby. Here's to hoping that comes true. Until then I'll have to live with other local Thai options (also good, but not as good as Cocurry).

I first started coming here yeeeears and yeaaars ago whenever I wanted Thai food. I recently visited with family and I'm so glad that nothing has changed! There were a couple other tables dining when we visited, but our server was so attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and some of our favorites include the crab fried rice, the green or yellow curry, and the fried fish. Everything was so flavorful, had a slight kick ( we ordered mild), and it was loaded with vegetables. We also love ordering the roti as an appetizer, which is a must. I usually like the fluffier, lighter roti, but the one they serve still hits the spot. Love this place!

This is a wonderful place to have a quiet lunch with friends or with coworkers! I came here with no reservation during lunch and was seated right away. The restaurant is decorated in traditional Thai decor and the chairs are pretty unique. I like the vibe here and during lunch it's mostly business people as the clientele. My group and I ordered curry from the lunch special menu, which comes with a salad, rice, and cream cheese wontons. I got the pineapple curry with pork. The curry itself was flavorful and had plenty of vegetables and meat in there. They are generous with the portions. I also enjoyed the salad but the wontons were a little too fried and there was not a lot of cream cheese in them. Overall, I recommend this place for lunch!

LENT 2023: FRIDAYS LUNCH & DINNER As a Filipino Catholic I hated eating fish on Fridays during Lent. Fish was prepared in a religious matter that made the fish taste disgusting. Last year as someone who tried in a very long time of eating fish on Fridays during Lent, I really challenged and discovered myself. What I learned is instead of focusing your own culture try other cultures when eating fish on Fridays during Lent. Unlike last year when I ate at multiple restaurants on Fridays during Lent I mostly ate at one restaurant, CoCurryThai Cuisine. The first Friday of Lent I came here for lunch. I ordered the panang fish, which is basa fillet in panang curry. Even though I like spicy Thai curries as fish is a delicate meat for this curry I didn't want the dish to be spicy. This dish was hearty and filling. I also ordered the shrimps rolls that had a unique presentation of the shrimp tail appearing at the end of the rolls. The shrimp rolls at CoCurry Thai Cuisine taste better than the spring shrimp rolls I've had at other eateries and that may be due to the spring rolls at this restaurant are deep fried. I came back to eat here about two weeks later on a Friday night. I looked at the Chef's Recommendation Section of the menu. One item I selected was tamarind prawn. Tamarind is main ingredient in sinigang, which is a Filipino sour and tangy soup and my favorite Filipino dish. During Fridays on Lent I mostly have shrimp sinigang. I've also had tamarind soft drinks that tend to be too sweet. I wanted to find out tamarind prawn at CoCurry Thai Cuisine isn't too overly sweet. The tamarind prawn was tastier than the panang fish I had previously. Also the tamarind on this dish wasn't too sweet. I like how the split prawns can absorb the tamarind flavor. About a month later I came her for dinner on Good Friday. Tilapia is very significant for Filipino Catholics as that is the fish Jesus found in a bag to serve his hungry followers. I don't like tilapia at all as I think the fish tastes dense. Or maybe it's because tilapia was one of the main fish I had to eat on Fridays during Lent. I wanted a spin on tilapia. For dinner I ordered flaming fish, which was battered tilapia fillet in a homemade curry paste. What I don't like is if the fish is flakey and the vegetables are soggy. For the flaming fish dish the fish was meaty and the string beans were crunchy. Instead of ordering jasmine rice I ordered coconut rice. The coconut rice at CoCurry Thai Cuisine was refreshing and unexpectedly light on the palette. I also ordered the coconut shrimp. I regret ordering this dish not because it wasn't tasty, but I became full and couldn't finish the flaming fish. I have a tendency to order too many items. I was best off just ordering the flaming fish and coconut rice. I guess for lunch appetizers ok are to start, but for dinner appetizers could be too filling. Overall I had a nice Friday Lent feast during my three visits at CoCurry Thai Cuisine. I noticed that shrimp was my favorite seafood at this restaurant. Maybe it was because I came here on Fridays during Lent, but what I like about CoCurry Thai Cuisine is that I didn't fall back on my usual Thai dishes that I tend to order. I ended up eating new dishes that I enjoyed.

Ate here twice in the last two weeks and if I had to describe the food in one word, it would be "delicious"!!!!! Hands down my new fav Thai place in the bay, and there a few great places, so that should speak volumes. So far I have had the Choo Chee Prawns, Basil fried rice with beef, and Green Curry with chicken. The spice level at medium was good, I would like to try "hot" and maybe "extra hot", but I had to be considerate of those eating with me lol. Their appetizer sampler was ok, the sauces were good, but I just didn't care for the tofu. The veggie rolls were good, fish cakes were ok, and the chicken satay was also ok. I will definitely be back for more and maybe one day I will have the discipline to save room for desserts
